Exhibiting Artists discuss Plein Air painting

Three Pines Studio intends to make the 16 days of the plein air show a celebration with many activities that complement the work. These activities are meant to stimulate increased participation.

According to the Japanese poet, Basho, "Haiku is simply what is happening in this place at this moment."

We see  haiku as the literary form of plein air painting.

In the workshops, at least one haiku will be written about a painting in the

It Starts Outside show.  We will install a paper scroll  so that the workshop participants will be able to add their poems  and build a haiku wall.
