Inspiration appears at unlikely moments and I have learned to take advantage of those times and try not to let them to fade into oblivion.
A moment of inspiration is like a brightly wrapped gift to the painter. Like many artists, I have both a written and unwritten log of paintings I want to realize. They are born of moments lived or sometimes dreamed.
Whether it’s a bird in my garden… sunlight melting over a marsh close to home, the desert and mountains of New Mexico or the last snow of winter – this show reflects a year of inspirations.
