Three Pines Studio is set to celebrate the life and art of Frida Kahlo with a one-day event – Frida Kahlo Birthday Party. Join us for cake, activities and fun! This free event will be held on July 6th, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at Three Pines Studio, located at 5959 W. Levering Rd. in Cross Village.

World-renowned artist Frida Kahlo was born on July 6th, 1907, in Coyocoán, Mexico, and began drawing at a young age. In 1925, she was nearly killed in a serious bus accident. She began painting during her recovery and went on to become one of Mexico’s most beloved artists. Her unique painting style was a means to express how she felt in her body.

“Her work evokes an emotional response at the deepest level,” said Joann Condino, co-founder of Three Pines Studio shares. “And not just with adults – her story and style also resonates with children. They love Frida.”

Party activities will celebrate Frida’s eclectic style. All ages are welcome to participate in activities, although children must be accompanied by an adult.
