Ken Kewley Workshop
Workshop: Looking and Inventing
When we can work from life and invent at the same time, our work gets stronger. That is the goal; to look beyond the image, to see and to strengthen the arrangement of shapes. No matter what or how we paint. Working with painted paper, first, we will compose shapes without subject. Second, looking at work from our own studios, we will remake them using similar shapes. Third, we’ll take those shapes and invent subject. All in order to be stronger when again we are in front of our subject.
