Light on the Land
Light has been used for centuries to create a sense of emotion, space, and time in art. Light determines color and shading and creates form. Light and shadow gives a painting depth and is the desired expression of all artists to capture the essence of a scene through the use of light.

Like the masters of old, we as modern day artists have built on the knowledge of what was once a new discovery, the beauty that can be expressed through observing the light nd how it plays on the landscape. It is what I am always focused on when choosing a scene or a portrait, that beautiful interplay of ight and shadow.
