This exhibition includes newer pieces that incorporate my usual ‘found’ materials such as the scavenged driftwood from Sturgeon Bay and Good Hart Beach. In addition, in the past couple of years I’ve begun sorting and seeing my stockpile of quirky objects in a new light. Boxes of accumulated things that my wife and I moved from Los Angeles to Good Hart in 2019 are now unpacked in my studio and offering me endless possibilities. Boxes of laboratory glass, gadgets, hand blown glass remnants, rusty steel pieces, fly-tying feathers and natural hairs, and old golf clubs are slowly being incorporated into my work in a new, and to me, exciting way.
