Joann Condino of Three Pines Studio has designed a new tea towel in further support of the World Central Kitchen / We Feed People worldwide mission. 50% from each sale will go to World Central Kitchen.
Per Joann Condino, Artist: “I continue my support of World Central Kitchen world wide efforts. Where there is need, WCK responds with food and sustenance. My intent is to help FEED. WCK responds to every crisis created by earthquakes, floods, fire, and conflicts. I can not close my eyes to the need. I can not close my mind to the needs of all people every where. I have to do something with what I can do – make art to help.”
Each tea towel will be woodblock printed by hand with a wheat pattern in the form of a circle, which mirrors the pan design in World Central Kitchen’s logo. The woodblock being used was designed and carved by Filippo Romagnoli, a Tuscan artist and friend of Three Pines.
The tea towels will be wood blocked at Three Pines Studio on beautiful linen or cotton fabric (depending on availability). The design colors are Terre Vert and Raw Sienna.
