Ukraine Relief and World Central Kitchen
The war in Ukraine shows no signs of letting up, and neither does support from Three Pines Studio for Ukrainian refugees. We have now sent $57,500 to World Central Kitchen from our Peace for Ukraine tea towel sales. Our fundraiser on April 29th at The Lyric Theatre generated an additional $20,000. Monies raised support World Central Kitchen whose teams are feeding hungry Ukrainian refugees.
The World Central Kitchen is the non-profit founded by Chef Jose Andres. He and his teams are at several sites on the Ukrainian border serving hot meals to hungry refugees and delivering flour to bakeries in Kiev to bake bread for the people who remain.
A Labor of Love
Our studio is making around 100 wood blocked tea towels per day, all by hand, and it’s been hard to keep up with demand. Please have patience as we work hard to fill each and every order. This is not a machine production line. This is two women working very hard. We will soon have tendinitis for all our work.
We Appreciate Your Support
Thank you for the overwhelming show of support for the Ukrainian people. Due to the large number of orders it may take some time to ship your tea towels. We intend to fill every order that comes in, so please keep ordering from us. We and the people of Ukraine appreciate your support. Thank you!
